Hello From The Pigeon Master!
11/18/08

Hello everyone!(That is if anyone actually ever visits this place) I've been absent quite awhile I know. It's been over 2 months since my last post. It is winter now, and I'm seeing less pigeons. Today it even was snowing flurries in Philadelphia.
So now, what's new with the Pigeon Master? Well for one I'm now in the process of becoming a vegetarian. My significant other has done so and this has encouraged me to do so as well. This thanksgiving I will hopefully be able to purchase a tofurkey! The offical website of the original tofurkey!

They are apprentaly available at a whole foods near me, so I will venture over there to try a smaller tofurkey product to see how it tastes, and if I like if I will be getting the tofurkey feast to be served at my significant others thanksgiving dinner! If I do end up getting it, I will write a full review of it on here under a new section called food reviews or something like that.

Well lets see what else, I will be working when I can on this website to make it ermm not look like pigeon shit. In other words, different sections for video game reviews, food reviews, news, etc, etc. Pretty graphics like buttons to click on to go to the aforementioned new sections. Right now I'm just really busy with college related shit. I will hopefully have time to work on it over winter break.

Well, that's all for now.
The Pigeon Master.

The lead singer, Stza, from the band Leftover Crack has been arrested following a protest in NYC.

I am posting these videos here to get the news out to as many people as possible. Also I am going to make sure that the NYPD doesn't get a chance to take them down, before as many people as possible see it. I have copies of the videos.

Hello everyone, if anyone actually ever visits this website. Well, here's the deal. I'd love to actually have a fully functioning put together website by now, but I've been busy with various things such as college, family, friends, and other things to do with my personal life.

Right now there are forums set up. So go there and join up and talk about whatever. I'd just love it if somehow I knew I was getting viewers on this website. So, join up on the forums and chat it up. I'll be in there.

So, what WILL this site have when it's fully functioning? Well, obviously stuff about pigeons. It already has the forums. It will have pictures of pigeons, info pigeons, my various experiences with pigeons etc.

As far as non pigeon related things it will have the following.

Apple computer related information, such as articles, experinces, reviews, news etc.

Product info about Apple products I have used, both new ones, and ones I have used in the past.

And anything else I feel like putting on the website. So once again please join the forums, post, and talk to me.

A Message About Fireworks Laws

I've been reading varios news articles published today about the many people who come to Pennsylvania to purchase fireworks that are illegale in their home state. Pennsylvania is known for the place to go for people living in the tri-state area to come and get fireworks to take back to their state to set off illegally. The news articles are the same every year, people coming from New York or New Jersey, and sometimes even as far as connecticut to get fireworks.
And it's always the same. Some official will say something along the lines of "Fireworks are dangerous" and then they'll throw out some statistics about how many people are killed and injured every year by fireworks, saying that some of these people are children.

Then they go on to talk about how fireworks are illegale in whatever state their from, and how people should "leave it to the professionals".

I say FUCK EM! The fireworks laws across the US are ridiculous. I understand the idea behind the all out ban of fireworks in the states of Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. It's because of the high density populations in these states.

But there is a reason there is a certain age you have to be to purchase fireworks in the states where they can be bought. The majority is 18 years old. But then look at Texas, the purchasing age there is 12! What the fuck! I wonder how many of those children injured by fireworks every year are in Texas! Other soutern and mid western states where some type of fireworks can be bought, the ages are 16. To be honest I don't feel like looking through the laws. If anyone would like to see them, phantom fireworks has a list of all state fireworks laws here. I wonder how much the numbers would fall if the purchasing age was 18 in all states where some type of fireworks could be purchased.

As for the differing state laws, I think that's fucking stupid. As much as I know it's more dangerous for something like reloadable motars to be set off in a densely populated town in New Jersey then it is in bumblefuck Texas, I think it's still fucking ridiculous to have an all out ban on all types of fireworks. There is a reason 18 years old is the required age to participate in a lot of "adult" things.

Although that does not include the right to buy alcoholic beverages, yet all males must register for selective services (aka the draft) when they turn 18. You're considerd old enough to kill or be killed, but you can't buy a beer! But that's another discussion for another time.

This is my point. What prompted me to write this is when there is some ass hat official, cop, citizen, whomever it may be, that says "Leave it to the professionals." I hate that! Why?! Because I don't get much enjoyment out of professional fireworks displays! Why you may ask? Because that, and setting off your own fireworks are two completely different things! It feels good to light that fuse and watch stuff blow up, spark, whistle, etc. Also, I always hated how loud the professional fireworks are. I would freak out and cry when I was a kid. I still don't like how loud they are. But yes, consumer reloadable mortars are almost just as loud. But there is still something different about lighting that fuse yourself and having that control.

I live in Pennsylvania. But up until about 9 months ago, I lived in New Jersey my whole life, and I fucking love consumer fireworks. They are great! That power, that feeling, the smell, it's so great. I've known people who crossed the state lines with fireworks, and I've watched them set off those fireworks in New Jersey in past years, and it was great. It was great. Of course the celebrations are sometimes brought to an end when the police show up and more often then not, they'll usually just tell you to stop. I wish all consumer fireworks were legal in all 50 states, but they aren't and they may never be.

In the end, fireworks are an amazing invention that everyone should be able to enjoy. The state governments should trust it's citizens to be responsible enough to stay safe while using them. Maybe if they weren't illegale, there would be less injuries, many of which probably happen due to people trying to quickly set off fireworks that are illegale in their state the avoid the cops catching and arresting them. Maybe if everyone could calmly and legally enjoy consumer fireworks, there would be less injuries. Maybe if there was a national set purchasing age of 18 years old, there would be less injuries.

But these things may never be known, because it seems some state governments are just too damn subborn to consider changing their flawed fireworks laws.

To those who will be setting off fireworks this 4th of July weekend. Good for you! Whatever state you may be in, weather legal or illegale there! Good for ya! Just make sure do it safely! Maybe if we can show our state governments we can be safe with fireworks, they might just start considering to change their laws.
